Eligibility Criteria (As on 01.01.2026)
As per Recruitment Rules 2022 & amendments:
Category A:
- Officials in Level 3 with 3 years regular service
- OR 5 years combined service in Level 1, 2 & 3
- Level 2 officials with 5 years service
- Level 1 officials with 5 years service
Category B:
- Officials with total 8 years regular service (including GDS service)
- Relaxation to 5 years for those serving as GDS before 17.06.2022
Note: Category B will be considered only if Category A candidates are insufficient.
Exam Pattern 2026
- Examination as per revised syllabus issued by Directorate
- Local Language Test (Paper-II) removed
- Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) will be conducted separately
