The Sashastra Seema Bal under the Ministry of Home Affairs has released the official notification for recruitment of Constable (General Duty) through remusteration for serving CT (Tradesmen) and CT (Orderlies). Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility conditions:

• Must be serving as CT (Tradesmen) or CT (Orderlies) in SSB.
• Must have completed minimum 3 years of regular service as on 01 January 2026.
• Must have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
• Must possess SHAPE-I medical category.
• Service record should be clean during the preceding 3 years.
• APAR grading for 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25 should not be below “Good”.

• Maximum age for UR/OBC candidates: 35 years as on 01 January 2026.
• SC/ST candidates will get 5 years age relaxation.

BMI Criteria

Candidates must have Body Mass Index (BMI) between 18 and 25.

The BMI formula is:
