Educational Qualification

- ITI Trade Apprentices: ITI in respective trade
⚠ Candidates with higher qualifications than prescribed are not eligible.
⚠ Distance/Part-time/Correspondence qualifications will not be accepted.
Age Limit (As on 15 May 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 25 Years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST – 5 Years
- OBC (NCL) – 3 Years
- PwD – 10 Years
Stipend
Stipend will be paid as per the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 and Government norms. No additional financial benefits will be provided.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on:
- Merit List (based on marks obtained in qualifying examination)
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
- Police Verification Certificate
Tie-breaking criteria:
- Higher marks in qualifying examination
- Seniority in Date of Birth
Selection Priority
Preference will be given in the following order:
- Land Affected Category candidates
- Candidates within 7 km radius of OSCOM
- Wards of IREL employees
- Residents within 10 km radius
- Odisha domicile candidates
- Candidates from rest of India
Reservation policy as per Government of Odisha guidelines will apply.
Important Instructions
- Candidates must not have previously undergone Apprenticeship training.
- Graduate/Technician candidates must apply within 3 years of passing.
- Registration on NATS/NAPS portal is mandatory before applying.
- Hard copy application submission is compulsory.
- No guarantee of regular employment after training.
