Accountant : No. of Posts: One
Grade: Accountant
(Functional designation as Accounting Executive)
Mode of Appointment: On contract at a fixed monthly salary commensurate with the pay band Rs.9300-34800 and grade pay Rs.4200.
Tenure: 2 years. Exceptionally good candidates may be considered for a longer tenure. Further extension is possible based on performance.
Qualification: Post-Graduate degree (under 10+2+3+2 scheme) in commerce or an equivalent Post-Graduate professional qualification. Consistently good academic record. Sound knowledge
in finance and accounts. Preference will be given to those having a Post-Graduate degree or diploma in management.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar position in government or academic/research/commercial organization of national/international repute, with at least 2 years in the immediate lower Grade Pay or equivalent of Rs.2400 /- in the Pay Band or equivalent of Rs.5200-20200 (pre-revised scale of Rs.4500-125-7000/-). Applicants should have a flair for serving educational institutions. Good working knowledge of computer operations and use of accounting applications is essential. Good communication skill in English is essential.
Age: Not exceeding 40 years as on the last date for receiving application.
Functions: Supporting the management of accounts. A successful applicant should be able to work in a computerized accounting environment and in various accounting and financial functions such as maintenance of accounts, processing of bills, handling of cash, budgeting, investments, and auditing; should have good skills in dealing with users of accounts service. Reports to Accounts Officer/FA&CAO as assigned.
