Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Miniratna company and subsidiary of Coal India Limited under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, has released the NCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification for engagement of 1607 Apprentice Trainees in Graduate, Diploma, ITI Trade, and Paramedical disciplines.
Eligible candidates from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh can apply online through the NATS or NAPS portal from 01 June 2026 to 15 June 2026.

NCL Apprentice Stipend 2026
Graduate Apprentices
- Monthly Stipend: ₹12,300
Diploma Apprentices
- Monthly Stipend: ₹10,900
Trade Apprentices
- Monthly Stipend: ₹9,600 to ₹10,560
Paramedical Apprentices
- Degree Level: ₹13,700
- Diploma Level: ₹12,700
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the relevant Degree, Diploma, ITI Certificate, or Paramedical qualification from a recognized institution located in Uttar Pradesh or Madhya Pradesh.
Age Limit (As on 01 June 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 26 Years
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC (NCL): 3 Years
- PwBD: 10 Years
- SC/ST PwBD: 15 Years
- OBC PwBD: 13 Years
Important Eligibility Conditions
- Candidates should not have passed the qualifying examination before June 2022.
- Candidates with one year or more job experience are not eligible.
- Previous apprentices are not eligible.
- Higher qualifications than the prescribed qualification will not be accepted.
- Only regular full-time courses are eligible.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on merit.
Graduate & Diploma Apprentices
Merit will be prepared based on marks obtained in the qualifying Degree/Diploma examination.
ITI Trade Apprentices
Merit will be prepared based on the average percentage of:
