Gujarat Biotechnology Research Centre Department under the Government of Gujarat Recruiting Research Associate, Senior Research Fellow,Data Manager,Junior Research Fellow in the month of September 2020,The above posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis for an initial period of 11 months, which may be extended after satisfactory performance of the incumbent till termination of the project. Qualification & experience: Masters, or PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology,
Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or related
fields, with 4+ years of relevant experience.
Experience: Ability to work in a Linux environment, and process large
amounts of data in a cloud environment.
Coding knowledge and experience with several languages: C,
C++, Java, JavaScript, etc.
Experience with command-line scripting, data structures and
algorithms.
Thorough, working knowledge of databases such as SQL,
NoSQL, HDFS and RDBMS.
Strong data extraction and processing skills, using NoSQL, Map
Reduce, Pig, and/or Hive preferred. Expertise in at least one of the following fields: machine
learning, data visualization, data mining, or information
retrieval.
Develop and apply machine learning methods such as
classification and collaborative filtering. Proficiency in analysis (e.g. R, SAS) packages, and
programming languages (e.g. Pearl, Python, Ruby). Knowledge of Big data analysis and Hadoop.
