PROJECT LAB ASSISTANT
Essential Qualification & Experience: M.Sc. in Physics from a recognized university/institute with more than 60% marks in the aggregate. Minimum one year of work experience in the similar work profile detailed below. Desirable Skills: Interest and ability to design and develop table-top experiments(electronics and computer interfacing) meant for teaching and research. Familiarity with installation procedures and maintenance of lab equipment. Strong interest in doing experiments and ability to work with students. Candidates should have good communication and documentation skills.
Job Profile: The person will be responsible for the maintenance of the equipment in the MSc. Physics Lab and the Research labs and looking after their operational requirements. He/she will also be involved in developing and setting up of table-top experiments meant for teaching, research and outreach purposes. In addition, the person should also take care of procurement and indenting for various equipment required in the labs.
Salary: Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualification and as per Centre’s norms. Selected candidate will be required to join as soon as possible.
Tenure: Initial appointment will be for one year which may be extended upto 3 years depending upon the individual’s performance and requirement of the Centre.
Upper Age Limit: 28 years (as on 1st Jan. 2018), may be relaxed based on higher qualifications and/ or experience.
