SELECTION PROCEDURE
Stage-1 Preliminary (Screening) Test: The applicants who fulfill the above requirements will be called for Stage-1 Preliminary (Screening) Test consisting of 50 Multiple choice Questions (Choice of four answers) (Mathematics – 20 Questions, Science – 20 Questions and General Awareness – 10 Questions) for one (01) hour duration. Note: (1) Candidates will be awarded 03 Marks for each correct answer and 01 Mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. (2) Test may be conducted in single/multiple sessions. (3) For the posts reserved for SC/ST/OBC, Candidates scoring less than (<) 30% marks in Stage-1 will be screened-out and for the posts which are un-reserved, Candidates scoring less than (<) 40% marks in Stage-1 will be screened-out.


Stage-2 Advance Test: All candidates screened in Stage-I will be allowed to undertake an advance test in their respective posts. • The test will comprise 50 Multi Choice Questions (Choice of four answers). ‘3’ Marks will be awarded for each correct answer and ‘1’ mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Test will be of two (02) hours duration. • A merit list will be prepared of candidates after Stage-2 based upon Scores obtained in Stage-2 only. PHYSICAL STANDARD TEST FOLLOWED BY PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT TEST FOR POST CODE 11802 to 11803: • Based on the merit list prepared after Stage-2, candidates will be called for Physical Standard Test. They are required to undergo Physical Standard Test as per the criteria laid down in Table – 1 below. Those who are meeting the Physical Standards will be required to undergo Physical Assessment Test as per the criteria laid down in Table – 2 below.

1) MINIMUM ENDURANCE TEST PARAMETERS a. Running a distance of 100 yards with a weight of 60 kilogram in 90 seconds; b. Lifting the hooks ladder to a vertical position by 3rd and 6th round; c. For the post of Fireman a. In addition to Clause Nos. 3.1 – 3.6, candidates applying for the post of Fireman should note that their suitability for the job shall be adjudged on qualifying the minimum endurance test parameters as well as minimum physical standards, as mentioned at Clause No. B.2.i. of this advertisement. It should be noted that candidates would be shortlisted, on the basis of their performance in online test, in the ratio of 01:05 i.e. 05 candidates for 01 post and called for adjudging their suitability at Nangal Unit, till the posts are filled up. b. Candidates shortlisted and called for testing of their endurance test parameters as well as physical standards shall be allowed reimbursement of to and fro single Sleeper Class Rail/Bus fare from the nearest railway station of the correspondence/mailing address (as mentioned in their online application form) to Nangal Unit by the shortest route on production of necessary proof. Reimbursements shall be made online directly into the bank account of the candidate through IMPS / NEFT; c. Shortlisted candidates have to qualify the minimum endurance test parameters as well as minimum physical standards in order to get selected for the post of Fireman. These tests will be of qualifying nature and those candidates who qualify shall be issued offer of appointment in the order of their merit of online examination. d. Those candidates who fail to qualify either of the minimum endurance test standards and/or physical standards shall forfeit their candidature for the post of Fireman, irrespective of their position in merit list and no queries/claims shall be entertained in this regard.

Terms and conditions:  1. Candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India. 2. Candidates already in Govt. service should apply through proper channel. 3. The last date of receipt of completed application forms by the office of the Registrar, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat-785 013 is  15.06.2018 (during office hours). No application will be entertained after the last date fixed. 13. Mere possessing the requisite qualifications will not make a candidate eligible for the written test/interview, as the case may be.
