Educational Qualification: A pass in SSLC (10th standard) or its equivalent qualification.
Physical Qualification: Candidates must meet the following physical standards:
- Height: Minimum 165 cm (160 cm for SC/ST candidates).
- Chest: Minimum 81.3 cm on full exhalation with a minimum expansion of 5 cm.
- Eyesight: Uncorrected vision of 6/6 (distant) and 0.5 (near) in both eyes, with a full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint, or any morbid eye condition is a disqualification.
- Physical Efficiency Test: Must qualify in any five out of eight events from the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standard Test (e.g., 100m run, Long Jump, Rope Climbing, 1500m run, etc.).
Kerala PSC Assistant Prison Officer Recruitment Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 to 36 years of age as of 01.01.2025. This means candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible to apply.
- Age Relaxation: Usual age relaxations are applicable for SC/ST and Other Backward Communities as per general rules, with the upper age limit not exceeding 50 years under any circumstance.
