 The CSIR-Traditional Knowledge Digital Library (CSIR-TKDL) Unit is engaged in the protection and preservation of India’s vast traditional knowledge present in ancient texts by converting the information into modern languages. It aims to prevent the misappropriation of Indian Systems of Medicine through patenting at the international level. CSIR-TKDL Unit is a unit under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous body with the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (Ministry of Science and Technology). Applications are invited from qualified candidates (Indian nationals) who meet the necessary educational and work requirements to work on project titled “Digitization of Indian Systems of Medicine – Ayurveda and Unani, and Yoga” (MLP0004). The engagement is purely on temporary and contract basis. The engagement shall be initially up to 31 March 2021 and maximum until 31 March 2025, i.e., co-terminus with the project. The extension of tenure of any project staff beyond 31 March 2021 will be subject to review by a duly constituted Review Committee at the end of each year or earlier, as deemed necessary. The written test will be conducted on 21/10/2020. There are 01 Project Associate Vacancies.  The minimum qualification required for the Project Associate post is BE/B Tech in Computer Science or Computer Applications or IT/MCA and Selection will be based on Written test/interview .

Age : 35 years

Qualification & experience :BE/B Tech in Computer Science or Computer Applications or IT/MCA from a recognized University or equivalent Desirable skills: Proficiency in one or more software products, viz Visual Basic, .Net, C#, MS-SQL Server 2008, 2012 or higher, Asp, Java Script, VB Script, IIS, working knowledge of database design, web enable applications and portal designing OR Proficiency in one or more software products viz Core Java, J2EE, EJB, Enterprise Java Beans, Enterprise Java, Spring, Struts, Hibernate, Maven, Rest, SOAP and any IDE like Eclipse/NetBeans/ IntelliJ IDEA, working knowledge of database design, web enable applications and portal designing OR Proficiency in engineering, administering and managing multiple relational database flavors (e.g. Oracle, SQLServer, PostgreSQL, etc.) including in database migration

 

Selection Process : Selection will be based on Written test/interview 

 

Note : (a) Candidates should present themselves at Vigyan Suchna Bhawan, CSIR-NISCAIR Building, 14, Satsang Vihar Marg, New Delhi – 110 067 for a Written test at the above mentioned dates against each post, the timing of which will notified on the CSIR website or through email. The interview of shortlisted candidates will take place online, the details of which will be made available on CSIR website. The results of the written test will be declared the same day or next day. The candidates are requested to visit the CSIR website or their email frequently to know the information and status. 

(b) The candidates must bring with them original certificates/ testimonials at the time of test along with two copies of self-attested photographs and a set of self-attested copies of certificates/ testimonials in support of age, qualification, marks obtained, experience, if any, etc. The candidates must also bring a copy of their bio-data neatly typed on A4 paper.

 (c) The candidates belonging to reserved categories must bring their original certificate of categories to which they belong issued by the competent authority (along with self attested copies of the same). 

(d) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Test/ Interview. 

(e) If currently employed, then the candidate will have to furnish no-objection certificate from the current employer at the time of joining. 

(f) Candidature will be purely provisional subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria. 

(g) Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified.
